I dread going in there, their parking lots are bad enough.

Its one of the reasons I hope Sears makes it (even though the one near me is gone anyway), at least it gives one more non-Walmart option. And there, you can shop in peace and quiet, because you're often the only customer in the whole place.

I worked for walmart in management 15 years ago. They were trash before, they were trash then, and they’re still trash now. The sooner that company goes under the better. My wife will still shop there on occasion, but I avoid it like the plague.

Speak with your dollars. Do not buy from them if you don't agree with their practices. I meet so many people who complain about them, then say, "but they're cheaper/it's convenient/it's  easy/they're the only place that sells RockStar LemonBluberry Zero Cal Blow Jobs by the case."

on the flip side they are one of the only places in my small town hir ing at 11/hr. A buddy of mine who was also a co-worker left my company for Walmart because it basically gave him a 2 dollar an hour raise. I understand tha t in a lot of places 11/hour is nothing, but there in the north woods its pretty damn good, especially at an everty level job.

I work for their U.K. arm of stores. Have for 16 years now, it’s a job that pays the bills, a crappy job that pays okay.

There is a lawsuit that the union won last year. Concerning the wage difference between depot workers and us on the shop floor. It had be going on for seven or eight years. The company wanted to back date the pay five years but even the judge has said that is needs to be longer which is now being haggled about with between the companies lawyers and unions lawyers. It would mean about £2,000 for each year they go back.
